Restaurant Review: Half Moon in Dobbs Ferry

Half Moon on the hudson in Dobbs Ferry is a well renowned restaurant throughout the Rivertowns with a great reputation and an amazing location. On 1 High Street Dobbs Ferry, this beautiful restaurant  sits on the Hudson River with a view of the palisades and the iconic New York City skyline.

Half Moon serves casual, yet sophisticated American cuisine with a wide variety of food on the menu. The food consists of small plates, raw foods, salads, sandwiches, Large plates, and extras. This menu ranges from fried calamari, mac & cheese, chilled lobster, chipotle caesar salad, the half moon classic burger and even a prime rib of beef au jus.

Along with the food menu, there are also many Beers and Wines. They divide up the drinks on the menu By the Glass, Wines they Love, Sparkling Bubbles, Worldly Whites, Worldly Reds, Distilled Spirits, Draft and Bottled Beers, and Specialty Cocktails.

I recently had lunch at Half moon and I had an amazing experience. The weather was perfect, the sun was shining bright, there was a slight breeze, and I got to enjoy one of the best views of the Hudson River.To start I was given a bowl of bread, olive oil, salt, pepper, and fresh cheese. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Wings to start, with the Guacamole which had charred tomato salsa and crispy tortilla chips, and also ordered blistered Peppers. Not only was I more than satisfied with my view on the Hudson but I also loved the food. Everything taste marvelous and was served eloquently. For My main dish I decided to got with the Half Moon Classic Burger with double smoked bacon, caramelized onions and a choice of American, Cheddar, Swiss or Bleu cheese. The Burger was cooked perfectly as the burger, bacon, cheese and onions worked together wonderfully.
